ABS plastic kidney grille set finished in chrome, designed as a direct replacement for the E38 7 Series covering the 1998-2001 model years including 740i, 740iL, and 750iL. The E38 is an older platform now well into its second decade of aftermarket support, and chrome grille replacements like this are a common cosmetic refresh on aging examples with faded or cracked OEM surrounds. Construction is molded ABS rather than metal, which keeps weight and cost down but means it won't have the rigidity of genuine BMW trim. Verify your production date carefully - pre-1998 E38 grilles use a slightly different surround design.
