The KW V2 is a street-focused coilover with independent spring and damper adjustment - you set ride height via the lower perch and dial rebound separately, which gives you more useful tuning range than a basic coilover that only lets you adjust both together. Fitment covers the F30 3 Series and F32 4 Series chassis, and KW builds these with their inox stainless steel housings so you're not fighting rust five years down the road when you want to readjust. If you're running a stock or mildly modified F30 330i or F32 428i as a daily that you also want to look right and handle better on occasional backroads, the V2 makes sense.
