LUK Dual Mass Flywheel — E60/E90 (OEM DMF082)

Inside the DMF082, a precision arc-spring damper system isolates the engine's rotational pulses from the transmission input shaft, absorbing the shock and vibration that would otherwise wear down synchros, bearings, and shift forks prematurely. The result is the crisp, mechanical shift feel and vibration-free idle your BMW was designed to deliver — restored fully with a single component swap.

Fitment spans the 6-speed manual variants of the E60 525i, 525xi, 528i, 528xi, 530i, and 530xi; the E90/E91 323i, 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, and 330xi; the E82 128i; the E83 X3 (2007–2008); and the E85/E86 Z4 3.0 six-cylinder through 2011. Transmission variant matters here — always confirm against your VIN before ordering, as not every model year or build combination applies.

This is a direct bolt-on replacement requiring no modifications. If you're already dropping the transmission for a clutch replacement, installing the DMF082 at the same time is the only practical decision — labor is the expensive part, and a worn flywheel behind a fresh clutch is a job half done.
