The BMW F22 2 Series runs the B58 or N55 engine depending on the year, and both respond well to cooling upgrades once you start pushing power. The stock intercooler is a common weak point-Wagner Tuning and Mishimoto both make excellent front-mount intercooler kits specifically for the F22 chassis that dramatically reduce charge air temps under sustained load. If you're tracking the car or running a tune, the OEM intercooler will heat-soak quickly and you'll see power drop off noticeably in back-to-back pulls. Mishimoto also offers an upgraded aluminum radiator that flows better than the factory plastic-tank unit, which becomes especially important on modified cars generating more heat. For coolant lines, silicone replacements from CTS Turbo hold up far better than the aging OEM rubber, particularly on higher-mileage F22s where cracking becomes a real concern. Don't overlook the oil cooler circuit either-an upgraded oil cooler thermostat, or a full kit from Setrab, keeps oil temps in a safe range during aggressive driving. Prioritize the intercooler first, then address the radiator and oil cooling as your build progresses.
