Popular F22 axle-back exhaust systems

Mid-tier mix of axle-back exhaust systems that fit the BMW F22.

When it comes to exhaust upgrades on the BMW F22, you've got a solid platform to work with, whether you're running the 228i, M235i, or the full M2. For the M235i and M2, the most popular route is a cat-back system from reputable brands like Akrapovič, Remus, or Eisenmann - all of which offer excellent fitment and a refined, aggressive tone without going overboard. The Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium system is particularly well-regarded for the F22 M2, shedding weight and opening up that S55 engine to breathe properly. If you're on a tighter budget, the Remus Sport exhaust offers a noticeable sound improvement at a more accessible price point. For the N20-powered 228i, a simple axle-back swap from Borla or MagnaFlow can wake up what is otherwise a fairly muted exhaust note. On the downpipe side, an aftermarket catted unit from Wagner Tuning or Dinan pairs excellently with a tune to unlock meaningful power gains. Always match your exhaust work with a proper ECU remap to get the full benefit - leaving power on the table after hardware upgrades is the most common mistake we see in the shop.
