Popular F36 cat-back exhaust systems

Mid-tier mix of cat-back exhaust systems that fit the BMW F36.

When it comes to exhaust upgrades on the BMW F36 Gran Coupé, you have some genuinely rewarding options depending on whether you're chasing sound, performance, or both. The F36 shares its platform with the F30/F32, so many components cross over nicely. For the N20 four-cylinder variants, a cat-back system from Remus or Supersprint will sharpen the exhaust note considerably without going overboard for a daily driver. If you're running the 428i or 435i, Akrapovič makes an exceptional slip-on line exhaust that delivers a deep, refined tone with measurable gains in throttle response. For the S55-powered M4-based builds, Eisenmann and Meisterschaft are shop favourites - both offer superb build quality and tunable valve control. Downpipes are where you'll see real power numbers; a high-flow catted downpipe from MMP or AWE Tuning paired with a proper ECU tune via MHD or BM3 can net 20–30whp on turbocharged variants. Always inspect your OEM flex pipe and hangers before installing - the F36 body style can put unusual stress on mounting points, and a clean install prevents drone and premature cracking down the line.
