When it comes to brake upgrades on the BMW G80 M3, the factory setup is competent for street driving, but enthusiasts pushing the car on track will quickly find its limits. The OEM steel rotors and Pagid pads that come stock are adequate, but heat soak becomes a real issue under sustained load. A popular first step is upgrading to a big brake kit - Brembo's GT series and AP Racing's CP9660 roto-cal kit are both well-regarded choices that bolt up cleanly to the G80's front knuckle. For rotors alone, Stoptech Sport or their Trophy Sport two-piece floating rotors offer excellent heat dissipation without the full BBK cost. On the pad side, Ferodo DS2500 compounds work well for mixed street and occasional track use, while the DS3000 is the go-to for dedicated track days. Stainless steel braided lines from Spiegler or Goodridge firm up pedal feel noticeably. For fluid, ATE Typ 200 or Motul RBF 660 are trusted choices that resist vapor lock under heavy braking. Bleed your brakes before every track day without exception - fresh fluid is cheap insurance compared to brake fade at speed.
