Aluminum Core Radiator - Replacement for BMW E60 — Overview
This is a direct replacement radiator with an aluminum core for E60 5 Series applications. If your original radiator is starting to seep at the plastic end tanks or you're dealing with cooling issues on a higher-mileage car, this is the kind of part you replace before it leaves you stuck on the shoulder. On an E60, cooling system maintenance is not something I put off, especially once the car is well past the first 100k.
I’d pick this over another tired used OE radiator when the goal is getting the car back to reliable daily-driver status without overspending. It makes sense for stock or lightly modified street cars that just need a fresh heat exchanger, not a full custom cooling setup. As always with E60 cooling work, plan on inspecting the hoses, expansion tank, and coolant temp sensor seal while you’re in there. A new radiator helps, but the weak point is usually the whole aging system, not one part by itself.
