McGard Cone Seat Wheel Lock Bolts M12x1.5 — Set of 4

The 60-degree cone seat geometry is purpose-built for tuner-style and aftermarket wheels that feature smaller lug holes — the type of fitment you'll commonly encounter when running forged or deep-dish aftermarket wheels on your BMW. At 50.7mm overall length with a 17mm hex, these bolts are a direct functional replacement for your standard lug bolts in the same positions. Note that the 17mm hex may not match your OEM lug wrench, so keep the included key tool accessible. These are rated for aluminum wheels only and should not be used on steel wheels.

Security comes from McGard's computer-generated key pattern system, which produces a virtually infinite number of unique combinations. The precision-machined steel collar on the key tool self-aligns into the lock's narrow pattern groove on installation and removal, keeping everything concentric under torque. Because the groove is intentionally tight, conventional extractor tools can't gain purchase — which is exactly the point. Every set ships with its own unique pattern, meaning a key from another McGard set, a dealership-installed lock, or any OEM kit will not work on yours.

Each kit includes four lock bolts, the key tool, a storage pouch, and an ID card for key replacement. Before ordering, confirm your wheel's seat type visually against your existing lug bolts — cone, radius, and flat seats are not interchangeable, and fitment must be verified by the customer prior to installation. Thread size and shank length should also be cross-checked against your current hardware to ensure a proper, safe fit.
